- TVEE Intermediate Level
Each Subject has a minimum of two papers and a maximum of three papers whereby:
- Paper 1 – MCQ (1 ½hrs.)
- Paper 2 – Essay Writing or Problem Solving (at most 3hrs.)
- Paper 3 – Practical (at most 3hrs.)
NB: Internship is essential for Paper 3 for one of the Professional Subjects as Specified by the Panel.
The Professional and Related Professional Subjects are altogether mandatory moreover English and French.
Candidates sitting in for the examination can choose about two (2) or three (3) subjects in the module of other subjects to make a combination of eleven subjects at most. Religious Studies can be chosen as a subject in the module of Other Subjects however must not be the 11th subject as is the case with GCE O Level. - TVEE Advanced Level

To get a pass in the Technical and Vocational Education Examinations at the Intermediate Level, a candidate must succeed in at least five Subjects with no less than two Professional Subjects and 1 Related Professional Subject.
An applicant may pass in single subjects if he/she does not meet the pass conditions in his/her Specialty.

- Pass/Fail Conditions TVEE AL
To get a pass in the Technical and Vocational Education Examinations at the Advanced Level, the candidate should pass in no less than two Professional subjects and two Related Professional Subjects.
Any candidate who misses a Paper of any of the Professional Subjects won’t be given a pass in the Specialty.
A candidate could pass in single subjects even if they don’t meet the required pass condition in their specialty.
- GCE certificates and result slips

- History of the GCE Board
The Cameroon GCE board was created officially in 1993, as indicated by a book named “The Cameroon GCE Crisis: A Test of Anglophone Solidarity.” The book says the formation of the board was led by Anglophone local gatherings, like the Teachers’ Association of Cameroon (TAC), lead by Mr. Peter Chateh; holy places; Confederation of Anglophone Parents’ Teachers’ Association of Cameroon (CAPTAC), with other worker’s guild bunches additionally playing a turn job in the making of the board.

- Creation of the GCE Board
The General Certificate of Education is a UK system of education adopted by Anglo-Saxon Cameroon. In Cameroon, the GCE Ordinary Level examination may be a 3-year course program ranging from Form 3 to make 5. It is usually written in Form 5 (Year 11) in Secondary schools meanwhile the GCE Advanced Level examinations are written in Upper 6 (Year 13) in high school.
The London GCE underwent Cameroonisation in 1977 and moved on smoothly until 1984. From 1984 onwards, some London officials began withdrawing from activities and the GCE began experiencing irregularities. Beginning from 1990, when the University of London Examination and Assessment Council withdrew completely from the role it had played thus far on the Cameroon GCE, the irregularities became even more alarming. A number of these irregularities included,
- In 1990 GCE questions that were reserved for future exam sessions were rather used for Entrance Examinations into ENS,
- In 1991, the format of the GCE question papers was modified without prior notice to registered candidates,
- Low-quality printing,
- Wrong pagination,
- Wrong spellings,
- Shortage of question papers and materials,
- Late arrival of question papers and therefore the postponement of some papers,
- Wrong instructions on question papers and examination leakages.
- Ministerial decree
In reaction to the mainstream interest discussed above, the Prime Minister of the Republic marked a request (Nº: 194/CAB/PM of 11 September 1992) making a Technical Committee hold out investigations and make suggestions on the association and working of the GCE Examination Board.

- Chairman
The new GCE Board executive, Prof Ivo Leke Tambo is the previous Secretary-General at the Ministry of Basic Education. He had before served at the Ministry of Secondary Education in a similar limit. He took up the situation from the Former Minister for Special Duties at the Presidency, Prof Peter Alange ABETY.
- Registrar
The current Registrar is Dang Akuh Dominic, who took up the situation on 31 January 2018 from Monono Ekema Humprey.
On January 31st 2018, an order from the Prime Minister named Dang Akuh Dominic as new registrar of the Cameroon General Certificate of Education (GCE) Board. Dang Akuh Dominic who hails from Befang, Menchum Valley sub-division of the Menchum Division within the North West Locale replaces Humphrey Ekema Monono, who has been heading the association since 2006. The Prime Ministerial Order ofJanuary 31st equally designated Etienne Roger Minkoulou as chief of the l’Office du Baccalauréat du Cameroun (OBC). Etienne Roger Minkoulou was once Chief of Competitive Examinations and Certification at the Service of Secondary Instruction came in to replace Zacharie Mbatsogo. The latter has headed the structure and organize French examinations for over two decades.
- Statistics of the GCE Board
In 2018, Statistics from the GCE Board showed that there was a 67.4% passed at the Advanced Level as against 35% in 2017. At the Ordinary Level, half passed contrasted with 25.29% in 2017.

- International Recognition of the Cameroon GCE Results
