GCE ATC and ITC Subjects For Cameroon English Technical Schools
Students of English technical schools in Cameroon are expected to know the GCE ATC and ITC subjects to be written at the Advanced and Ordinary Levels (Intermediate Level) respectively. ATC stands for Advanced Technical Certificated to be written at Upper Sixth while ITC stands for Intermediate Technical Certificate to be written in Form Five of technical English Schools in Cameroon.
The Grading system of the GCE ATC and ITC subjects shall be the same as in the GCE General and pass shall be considered in terms of papers though with some additional conditions to fit the standard of technical examination.
Examination subjects for ITC are classified as; Professional, Related Profesional, and Others. Both Professional and Related Professional are compulsory. English and French are also compulsory, while mathematics is only compulsory for industrial students. Pass at the ITC is five (5) papers with at least two professional subjects and 1 related professional subject. The minimum subjects to be registered at this level are 8.
The minimum number of subjects to be registered at the ATC is six (6) and the pass is a minimum of 4 subjects with a pass in at least 2 professional subjects and 2 related professional subjects.
These GCE ATC and ITC subjects for English Technical Schools in Cameroon shall take effect as from 2019/2020 academic year and shall be written at the GCE June 2020 session examination to be organized by the Cameroon GCE Board.
Teachers and students are expected to have a copy of this GCE ATC and ITC subjects for respective trades so as to get both the students and teachers acquainted with the new system in place.
